Ozaukee County

The Ozaukee Coast spans across the shoreline of Lake Michigan, offering flat and sandy terrain in the north and rocky bluffs in the south, making it the perfect destination for kayakers in the southeastern Wisconsin area.

Whether you want to enjoy the open waters of Lake Michigan or its expansive rivers and creeks, you can find what you’re looking for at one of Ozaukee’s many public boat launches. You can find a complete list of where to launch here.

Waukesha County

Waukesha County’s inland lakes are an excellent option for a relaxing sunset cruise or shredding the water in a speedboat.

Lake access is available at five of Waukesha’s beautiful lakes, including:

  • Pewaukee Lake
  • Nagawicka Lake
  • Nemahbin Lake
  • School Section Lake
  • Ashippun Lake

You can self-register for a daily launch permit or annual lake access sticker at on-site stations at Pewaukee, Nagawicka, Nemahbin, and School Section Lake. There is no fee for ake access at Ashippun Lake

Waukesha's Lake Country also offers family-fun weekend events throughout the summer. Look here for weekly updates!

Washington County

Washington County offers boat access to Little Cedar Lake and Silver Lake, with boat launches at Acherman’s Grove and Henschke Hillside.
