Kathryn Llaurado Scheidt

Background & Courtroom Experience

Kate Llaurado Scheidt has a wide array of trial experience—from a heavy truck product liability trial in federal court in Texas to a six-week construction site negligence trial in state court in California, as well as eight Wisconsin state court trials representing and advocating for people who had been injured. Her blend of empathy and tenacity makes her an effective advocate for her clients in a courtroom. However, she does not just fight fiercely for her clients in the courtroom, but during pre-trial litigation as well. She has successfully written appellate briefs to the Supreme Court of California and successfully written and argued briefs before the Appellate Division of New York to support her clients’ ability to pursue justice for the negligence and wrongdoing that caused their injuries.

Kate is licensed to practice in Wisconsin, Minnesota, California, and New York. Prior to joining Murphy & Prachthauser, she practiced personal injury law both in Northern California and New York.

I am a strong believer in justice and take pride in advocating for my clients who have been wronged by another’s negligence or a corporation’s defective product. I am glad to be a part of a team that shares that passion for justice.
