Don Prachthauser and Kevin Kukor settled a case at mediation for $1,950,000.00. The plaintiff suffered a leg injury while driving his motorcycle when defendant failed to yield the right of way. Kevin Kukor settled a case at mediation for $434,000.00. The plaintiff was injured in an automobile collision when defendant struck plaintiff broadside. Plaintiff suffered injuries to her neck and back and required a cervical fusion. Thadd Llaurado and Keith Stachowiak settled a case against a chemical distributer for $900,000. The plaintiff was injured when the chemical, being used in an industrial setting, exploded as it was being poured from a cardboard barrel. The chemical was not shipped in a static dissapative plastic bag, as required for this type of product. The Wisconsin Supreme Court issued a decision in a case handled by Don Prachthauser and Keving Kukor against Catholic Mutual Insurance, reinstating the Court of Appeals opinion which upheld a $17 Million jury verdict. Catholic Mutual Insurance The Court of Appeals affirmed the Jury Verdict against Catholic Mutual Insurance Company and the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, in a unanimous decision. Catholic Mutual, Don Prachthauser and Kevin Kukor received a jury verdict awarding damages of $17 million for a man who suffered quadraplegia from a vehicle accident. A church volunteer, delivering statues, ran a red light and collided with the plaintiff, severing his spinal cord and causing paralysis. The church contended that the volunteer was not covered under its insurance policy, but the jury disagreed, finding that the volunteer was "acting on behalf of" her church, and was therefore covered. Mark Baus won a $300,000 jury verdict in Manitowoc , Wisconsin , Circuit Court, on behalf of a man who suffered a neck injury in a motor vehicle accident. The defendant insurance company, State Farm, hired an engineer to study the accident and testify at trial that the force of the accident was not sufficient to cause any injury to the plaintiff. Don Prachthauser settled a medical malpractice case that involved a 3 day old infant who died as a result of an improperly performed needle aspiration. The case settled for an undisclosed amount. Don Prachthauser settled a medical malpractice case that involved the death of a gentleman who was about to undergo shoulder surgery. An interscalene block intended to alleviate pain post-surgery was administered inappropriately resulting in client’ death. Don Prachthauser settled a medical malpractice case that involved the death of a 50 year old woman following back surgery. It was our contention that the hospital staff did not properly respond to the post-surgical complications and and that the hospital staff was ill equipped to administer blood in a manner necessary to successfully treat the patient.
