In 1978, Jim Murphy and Don Practhauser joined forces to represent injury victims in many types of complex litigation. Jim Murphy was at the forefront of crashworthiness cases in Wisconsin, arguing the first case against before the Wisconsin Supreme Court that established liability against an auto manufacturer for failing to design reasonable safety devices to protect auto occupants in forseeable accidents. Since that time, Jim Murphy has successfully represented dozens of seriously injured individuals and presented claims against auto manufacturers for design flaws in the products they produce.

Jim has and is also involved in cases and class actions against pharmaceutical manufacturers, notably Paxil, Baycol, and Phen-fen. He also has been appointed lead counsel for the State of Wisconsin involving wage and hour violations on behalf of Wal-Mart employees.

Don Prachthauser has developed expertise in representing individuals with complex or serious injuries in as a result of negligence or medical malpractice. Over the years, he has won multi million dollar verdicts and settlements against insurance companies in serious personal injury cases - auto accidents, construction site accidents, wrongful death, dogbite litigation, slip and fall, premises liability, brain injury, birth injuries, spinal cord injury and negligence cases.
