Professional Activities & Honors

Joe Zimmermann graduated with a J. D. from Marquette University Law School in 1976, having received B.A. and M.A. degrees from the University of Wisconsin and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee respectively. He commenced his legal career with the firm then known as Goldberg, Previant & Uelman, concentrating in labor law and appellate work. In 1981, he became of counsel to Murphy & Prachthauser. He assists the firm’s trial attorneys on complex legal issues and appeals. In addition, he counsels the firm on business matters.

Background

Joe Zimmermann is a native of Austria, and conversant in German. He is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, admitted to practice in all of the state and federal courts in Wisconsin. He is also admitted to practice in the Seventh and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
